The game stayed on a predictable schedule of releasing expansions twice a year – once in spring and once in fall.
This is the fewest number of expansions for any of The Sims games, but (in my opinion) they were some of the best ever made. Seven total expansion packs and several deluxe editions and compilations were released for the game over the next four years.
